Today, February 27, 2024, Dar es Salaam Merchant Group (DMG), in collaboration with TANSHEQ, signed a contract with the Government of Tanzania to conduct feasibility studies for the construction of deep sea fishing vessels and fish processing factories in Kilwa and Fungurefu.
The signing ceremony occurred at the Prime Minister’s Office Hall, attended by our Managing Director, Rayton Kwembe and the Government Officials led by Secretary General Office of the Prime Minister (Policy, Parliament and Coordination) Dr. Jim Yonazi in Dodoma.
The contract will be implemented for a period not exceeding 45 days for 348 million shillings. The Agriculture and Fisheries Development Program is crucial in developing the agriculture and fisheries sector.
This study will be a critical step under the Agriculture and Fisheries Development Program, aligning with our national leaders’ national strategic plans and vision; including the Honorable Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan and Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi.
